Comments
The backside of Strachan at 1030 hrs today was like skiing on styrofoam - slightly breakable crust but not enough to be problematic. The NW to SW aspects appear to have sustained wet snow avalanching to size 2 failing on a boilerplate that made the steep descent rather difficult. The debris was somewhat wet (not hard ice chunks like you might expect) and skiable. The debris was coated by 4-5cm of fresh snow. At the bottom of the slope, the snow was wet and heavy.
