Comments

Went to check out the lay of the land on Anif, particular the N facing chutes. We observed, from afar, multiple naturals all the way across the ridgetops, mid slope and below, including on less steep sections. Quite impressive and a clear sign to us to abandon our objective.

We turned back before heading up the col and climbed the cut block to the top of Muligan. From our vantage point there by the size of the trees our best guess is crowns 30-60cm in spots with tons of hang fire remaining especially around mid-slope and cliff top features.

As we summited snow was being transported rapidly by more SW winds and start zones were actively loading/reloading.

Be safe out there.

Skied NNW/NW slope of Mulligan which had decent snow until the cutblock which was sun and wind beaten into an impenetrable, awful crust.
