Comments
Tryst chutes had 20-25cm fresh unconsolidated snow on top of a supportive crust. No whumphing or shooting cracks noted, overall snowpack felt supportive and skied very well. Fun powder skiing.
Skied out towards Super Slope, very wind affected and we opted for the tree run just prior. Slab formation noted on the small wind affected open slope just before entering the trees which broke up into blocks with skier weight (SE aspect). Great skiing in the sparser trees with fresh tracks and powder snow.
Winds were picking up into the afternoon with lots of transport. Temperatures around -2 all day.
No evidence of recent avalanches noted.
Lower down on the skin out coverage is decent, not great.
