Skied Rethel North Couloir on Tuesday, November 25th. We observed no signs of instability while booting up or skiing down. The snow in the couloir was good settled powder, though there was some manageable sluff to navigate on the descent given the recent snowfall. Coverage is solid. The choke is filled in well enough to ski through without tips or tails touching rock, but be aware the cornice at the top is already becoming quite sizeable. We intended to summit, but once we got under the cornice we decided against it. The trail from the parking lot to the lake was not fun which was to be expected. We hiked the entire way to the lake in hiking shoes with microspikes which was somewhat miserable, however there was no skinning to be done on that lower section.
