Comments
It was noticeably colder today, making for a chilly ride up the good access road to the cabin. At treeline, in sheltered areas, we found 30–50 cm of storm snow over the December 16 crust, which made for great powder skiing. Snow continued to fall throughout the day, accompanied by a light southwest wind. In the alpine and other wind-exposed areas, we observed wind slabs forming on north- to east-facing slopes.
