Un groupe de trois skieurs est monté vers 17 h dans l’Ascenseur, déclenchant une avalanche de taille 2. Les trois individus ont été partiellement ensevelis dont l'un d'entre eux a été capable de se dégager par lui-même, puis de déterrer ses compagnons, eux aussi partiellement ensevelis. L’un d’entre eux a été gravement blessé à la jambe.
