A wheelie good time in Kakwa

Riding quality was:

Good

Snow conditions were:

• Crusty
• Wind affected

We rode:

• Alpine slopes
• Mellow slopes
• Open trees

We stayed away from:

• Convex slopes
• Steep slopes

The day was:

• Sunny
• Windy

We noticed the wind start in the morning, and a couple of hours later, we saw a size two avalanche in extreme terrain. As the wind increased through the day, we saw snow blowing off ridges, and

lee slopes loading in the Alpine and Treeline.

Today, we saw lots of terrain, had fun and avoided the avalanche hazard by riding low-angle terrain and small slopes.
