Comments
We went riding in Hasler today. We found similar conditions as Mt West on Thursday and Core Lodge yesterday. The wind had blown the snow back to the crust in exposed areas. This hard snow is set up to be a good sliding surface for avalanches once it gets reloaded with new snow. We saw many old avalanches from last week and triggered a small wind slab on a north facing slope in the alpine that ran on the mid February crust. The lack of fresh snow made travelling easy and we spent the day exploring the area.
