Comments
Snow conditions were good Thursday and Friday morning but temperatures steadily rose over Friday into Saturday. On Friday night and Saturday it rained to the hut and on the walk out Saturday there was a soft crust that would be aggressive if temperatures cooled.
No avalanches observed but coverage was low. Rocks, creek holes, and sparse wind swept alpine terrain needed to be factored into navigation and descent decisions.
