"One person in a party of four remotely triggered an avalanche on a north-facing slope. At 1700 meters. The slab failed on the faceted interface, overlying the early February rain crust 70 cm down. It propagated 50 meters wide and ran for 100 meters, resulting in a partial burial with one person and a buried snowmobile involved. Fortunately, the other crew members rescued that person, who was found to be uninjured."
