Comments
Skied Northbowl to Powder 8s with 20cm dry powder overtop an edgeable crust. Deeper pockets near ridgeline on lee slope. Steep entrance with no sluffing or cracking. Would have been good skiing if not for the very flat light which made for defensive skiing. Ridge top winds were moderate from north but no blowing snow. Tree line conditions were better with a breakable crust under the new snow which made for good turns if you could find anything untracked.
Main hazard today was deep frozen old tracks from earlier in the week along with a steep blown out skin track getting onto The Dome.
