Comments
- Packer's pass - as expected, exposed areas ATL very windblown: from bare, to thin, to thick hard sastrugi. Thin areas near rocks very faceted below a few cms of most recent snow. Leeward or tree sheltered areas hold decent enough skiable snow.
- Richardson ridge, East aspect, 25 deg slope, at 2330m TL: good skiing in packed powder. HS 180-190 cm; ski pen ~15 cm. Several handshears repeatedly resulting in RP ~ 20 cm down. ATL: hardpack and/or crusts, supportive and/or breakable.
- Mild day out ~3 deg. Generally clear skies 2/8. Winds: light to moderate at the passes (Packers & Boulder), light crossing Ptarmigan lk.
