Comments
Warm temps persisted into today from yesterday and highway elevation temperature was around -1 all day. We skinned up into the lookers right chutes at Fraser and found that the warming has made the new snow more supportive to travel and it made the skiing a bit better as well. We couldn't always feel the old hard surface.
We tracked up to the upper treeline and felt comfortable skiing small pitches of steep terrain, if it felt especially deep in one place we were stopping to investigate before continuing. we were happy to see the new snow bonding well in the area we were!
Happy riding!
