Kakwa Park Snowmobile Club scouting mission. We installed our Avalanche Beacon checker then continued up the road to the B.C. Parks Kakwa lake cabin. We stayed on the road and did not do any alpine travel. We stopped to probe at the height of land on the continental divide. Probed 100cm with a hard crust of compact snow at 90cm with 10cm of fluff. Did not dig a pit to check layers. Did not witness any avalanche activity in the area.
