Comments

Jan 5th low level cloud gave some spectacular visuals of Nch'Kay Massif. Notable was the appearance of a mid season snow pack in extremely steep terrain. Based on many years of Obs up there.

Rock is caked with Rind.

I departed to building N wind as sun set behind Tantalus Range.

Returned Jan 6th and observed 2 large crowns on the North Face. Suspect Cornice Failure trigger during the night with propagation into the neighboring Couloir.

Avalanche info are estimates. Runout obscured by landscape.

We rode N facing low angle supported terrain and found excellent winter conditions.
