Comments
We went up to the Dome glacier for a day of guides training with AAA. -9c at the Asulkan parking this morning and temperatures above freezing above 2100m. The sheltered alpine glaciers and moraines held some good quality skiing with minimal wind effect and dry snow. HS on the Dome glacier is over 250cm and the Nov 5th crust was present at 2200m 135cm down. We dug test profiles in 2 areas in the alpine and noted no significant results. We were cautious of overhead hazards that might be in the sun. In the PM we observed numerous dry loose releases up to sz 1.5 on solar aspects. No new slab avalanches were noted.
