Comments
It was our first trip out towards White Pass East for this season. We found the typical approach from Fraser to the Big Y on the train tracks then along the meadow is passable. There are a few spots on the way in where the creek just barely hiding beneath the snow. The first climb up into the Big Y is starting to fill in with enough snow coverage now. As we crested 1000m elevation the snow quality changed and surfaces were wind affected. We found riding is best in the meadows at valley bottom, where sheltered areas have deeper snow.
