Comments
Spent 2 days skiing in the Mt Joan Mr Hal area after hiking up from Port alberni via Beaufort crest trail. The skiing on Joan specifically was excellent, many moderate slopes with dry stable snow. No signs of recent avalanches, be warned the mt Joan trail does not hold enough snow to skin, so be prepared to earn your turns! There may be better access between Hal and Joan via fsr.
