Comments

Skied both the east shoulder of terminal mountainon the south side, and the lower SE Avi slopes on Peveril on Sunday.

Terminal mountain:

Very wind affected slopes. We could barely penetrate with our skies aside from the occasional wind pocket in the alpine. The winds were also blowing hard from the south west all during the morning while we were up there. The wind crust is also evident at treeline. No avalanche activity was observed, but there are some big cornices overhanging east facing slopes that we chose to stay away from.

Peveril slopes:

In the afternoon we decided to cut over to Peveril from the bridge. We skied the first SE facing Avi slopes and the snow was amazing. Beautiful supportive powder and no signs of avalanche activity. Ski penetration was about 20 cm. The slope was in intense Sun all day so there may be some solar affect now.
