Avalanche control today on Mt Whymper. Fair amount of natural activity was evident as we arrived with most of the tracks having debris in them. We triggered one cornice that pulled as sz 2.5 slab which ran to the bottom of the track on the whymper south and a few smaller slabs to sz 2. We would characterize these as wind slabs that were 20-40 deep windslabs that were failing with on the recently buried facets that resulted from the Arctic weather that we recently endured.
