Comments
Surface warmed to about 0 degrees Friday at treeline resulting in a wet and heavy surface layer that was well bonded to the crust below, about 30-40 cm deep. Temp dropped below freezing on Saturday at treeline and snow stayed consistent across all aspects. Avoided overhead cornices and the less steep terrain was riding consistent across all aspects and noticed no snow instability as a result of the temperature shifts during the weekend, but observed some snow depth inconsistency from winds earlier in the week.
