Comments
Touchy conditions in the Hanging Lake / Rainbow Lake area. Wind affect and stiff windslab observed on most aspects at TL and Alpine. Had one moderate Woomf on a wind affected E facing terrain feature on the W side of rainbow lake. Evidence of naturals and human triggered avalanches to size 1.5.
We found excellent powder skiing in sheltered, low angled trees and most terrain BTL.
Wind slab felt stiff and hollow / sounded drum like. We kicked off several wind slabs on small test slopes. Ski out to Whistler Olympic Park below 1000m is thin, icy and character building.
