We accessed Trorey Glacier from the South approach and Decker / Trorey col. Cornices along the ridge by Trorey were very large and sagging. Strong SE winds all day with lots of snow moving around. South facing ridge approaches and egress via body bag were icy. Ski crampons came in handy.

Ski quality on Trorey glacier was wind pressed but consistent and good quality. Decker glacier was far more variable. No wind slab instabilities noted. Cloud was in and out in the morning with longer sunny spells in the afternoon. Lots of parties out today and a few heading for the traverse.
