Comments
Went to check out the 93s today to see how the surface hoar was doing
-7 at the car 9:00am
Skinned up a NE aspect on a crust to 1900m above this the crust disappeared and the surface hoar returned with some whumpfing.
Noticed a size 1 around 2200m that had gone on the SH layer in the last 24hr.
Moderate ridge top winds from the SW with significant wind transporting.
Rode slide paths on east aspect. Was able to cut 40m wide dry loose that ran 300m+.
Once below 1800 the crust became noticeable again and the new storm snow began releasing on steeper rolls, running down to the crust and running as far as the terrain would allow.
