Skier triggered an avalanche in open bowl feature, swept through trees and over a cliff, and buried 1.8 m deep in a gully. Partner located buried victim with transceiver and probe and another group assisted digging. Once uncovered, the victim was found breathing but had sustained multiple injuries. The victim was transported to hospital via helicopter.
