Comments
Nigel Pass area had a fairly supportive crust BTL but was very variable throughout treeline from a hard sun crust in open trees to completely unsupportive in sheltered trees. Intense blowing snow in the alpine and open treeline areas. Skiing down was either wallowing through facets or dust on crust.
Observed numerous natural dry loose, wind slabs and cornice failures up to size 1 in the alpine around the Nigel/Cirrus area. Sc a small windslab less than size 1 on a cross loaded feature around 2200m.
