Went to check on Chockstone Couloir today. The snow is really good and powdery from 2000m and in the whole area around Rockbound and Tower lakes.
The couloir itself had a great snowpack and perfect conditions. 20-30cm of fresh snow sitting on a at least 1.20m hard consolidated snowpack (we didn't dig more and didn't touch the bottom). It skied amazing and was super stable and solid.
Sunny/cloudy day with zero wind. -2°C at the car but felt colder once out of the trees up there.
