Skied upper TL-BTL from 1550-2300m on N-E slopes up to 40 deg. this morning. -19C at 0900 and +2C at 1315, both taken at car park. Old skin track was steep and difficult to follow, with trailbreaking being equally challenging due to the low cohesion of surface snow on steep slopes. MFCr present up to 1750m, breaking down by 12:30. Intense solar input this morning cause rapid surface warming and minor pinwheeling on SE-facing slopes. Skies were CLR in AM; BKN by 1300. No new signs of avalanches or instabilities observed.
**CAUTION!! There is an old downhill track about 15m from the bottom of the run on skier-R that goes over a very weak snowbridge across a significant hole and crevice. This hole is at least 10-15m deep and completely vertical--stay away from the creek on the descent!
