Comments
Decent riding above 1900m. 15-20cm of unconsolidated snow over a knife hard rain crust that starts getting less load bearing as you increase your elevation. Evidence of wind scouring or compaction in the alpine on pretty much all aspects. Wind deposits on lee aspects.
.
Below 1900m, 5-12cm over knife hard rain crust. Just enough coverage to not destroy your skis. Still VERY THIN in valley bottom.
.
Winds: calm. Air temp at 2200m: -9C
.
No surface hoar was noticed.
