Comments

Today we skied at Hankin. By mid day snow was moist below 1700 m on all aspects. Shady aspects were still holding cold snow and providing good ski quality, sunny aspects were crusty. Wind slab has formed in the alpine with recent strong winds. We observed one size 2 wind slab avalanche that released beneath the cornice at ridge top. The deposit flowed into the basin of cabin bowl. Wind slabs remain triggerable able in the alpine.
