Comments
10-20 cm of fresh fluffy snow sitting on a crust. As the temperature increased, the snow became heavy and wet. We had some whumpfs on the shallow snowpack on the SW facing slope of Cirque Forepeak. We turned around and lapped the treeline instead.
Midday, we heard what sounded like a large avalanche in the direction of Bowcrow.
On our way back, we observed a few 0.5 wet slab avalanches sliding on the March 8th crust.
We dug a snow pit at 2200m (we are not pros!) and recorded CTM14 down 80 on facets.
