April Snow

Snow conditions were:

We rode:

• Mellow slopes
• Open trees
• Steep slopes

We stayed away from:

• Alpine slopes

The day was:

• Foggy
• Stormy

Low clouds and flat light kept us in the trees. We stayed mindful of, and kept our distance from, overhead cornices and alpine slopes where wind slabs were forming. It snowed all day, leaving 11 cm of fresh snow on top of old, hard‑packed surfaces. Access was great, as always.
