Comments
Morning poke into backcountry next to Powder King. Surface snow was low-moderate density powder that was less wind effected than we expected. Observed a natural size 1 avalanche that likely released in the last 12-24 hrs on a steep windward slope (see Avalanche section). Coverage up high is slowly getting better and there is good skiing to be had, but willows lower down are still lying in wait.
