Comments

Allan Creek, Valemount BC.

Heavy rain to 1050m then wet snow to 1600 and dry above that. Air temps hanging around -5deg. Extremely stormy day with sustained strong SW winds gusting extreme. Loads of moving snow. Snowing hard most of the day.

140-175cms of snow depending on location so its adding up.

Touchy storm slab on lee aspects. 35cm unconsolidated storm snow sitting on a 10cm 4f+ windslab that is breaking on small 4mm surface hoar and facets.

Remote triggering, shooting cracks, whoomfs, all of it.

We kept it low exposure and low angle and just enjoyed the snow as much as we could with the low vis and stormy weather.
