Comments
Fine day, predictable weather, more sun than cloud, light south breeze and easy travel. We sledded from Fraser to the Big Y, explored around and found the best snow for sledding in around 1200-1500 m in sheltered zones where valleys generally run east-west. By afternoon it felt like spri mg with above zero temps above 1400m. South slopes at this elevation have a stiff crust down 20-30cm but soft carveable snow can still be found.
No new avalanches observed.
