Comments
Our confidence in the upper snowpack changed quite a bit today compared to the last few days were snow was really deep but stable to today’s also good skiing, but also to lots of wind slab formation, with higher than expected winds in the ALP (NE today). We triggered many slabs at treeline and in the ALP, both on slopes and following ridgetops. Slabs were very reactive and we experienced shooting cracks over the day. Winds were loading aspects previously affected by opposite winds over the last week.
