Comments
Today we shook out our legs with a day up Hankin Evelyn.
We had snow falling straight down on us very lightly for the entirety of the day with surprisingly calm winds. It appears the winds have been light here but still moving the available snow from the past couple days into North and North East lee features at ridge top.
We observed a couple size 1 natural wind slabs on these aspects and stuck to the sheltered trees on our decent with some great powder wiggles to be had.
The November surface hoar layer is present here down 90cm and in this location and had no results in testing.
The melt freeze crust is present to 1450m here but wasn't noticeable to our skis on our exit down the runs.
