Comments

We did an ast 2 course focusing on terrain choices. with a mix of snowmobiling and snowshoeing. We didn't observe any windloading in the area we were working in. we saw one recent size one loose dry avalanche in extremely complex terrain. We observed approximately 30 cm of fresh powder at around 1600m elevation. There wasn't a great place to dig a formal pit but we periodically tested the snow throughout the day and saw no layers of concern in the snowpack. From what we saw the snow pack in this area was pretty "right side up"
