20–30 cm of dense, granular snow over a firm, consolidated snowpack.
Some wind loading observed; cornices present and cracking, but not releasing significant slabs.
Snowpack passed at all three pit levels. Shovel jump on the surface layer resulted in compaction only, no propagation or collapse.
Amazing powder riding.
