Comments
Today we rode the Sterling Snowmobile area. We entered the terrain cautiously as the avalanche hazard is considerable. We used lower angle ramps and avoided exposure to large slopes. Once we got further into the terrain we saw numerous avalanches that we suspect were remotely triggered by snowmobiles. These avalanches are failing approximately 60 cm deep and propagating far. Especially concerning is the possibility of remotely triggering these avalanche onto yourself from below. Stay safe out there.
