Comments
Today we rode the Microwave. The rain/snow line was up around 1200 m. Above this the snow was moist up to our highpoint at 1600m. We found surprisingly good riding given the unseasonably warm weather. We dug a profile at 1550 m on an east aspect. There was 10-15 cm of snow on the Jan 26 crust drought layer that is breaking down. We also found the Jan 6 Surface hoar layer down 45 cm. Both of these layers were nonreactive in testing. Trail in was recently groomed and great. Have a fun weekend.
