Comments
Cold and stormy in Squamish but relatively calm at treeline. Light wind and minimal precip. Air temp was around freezing and a thin wet layer was forming on the snow surface which caused ski bases to ice up quickly when breaking through to the cold snow underneath!
Several size 1 slab natural avalanches out of steep terrain and one larger size 2 in a steep couloir with a crown of 20-40cm by 40m wide running ~150meters.
Called it a day when the goretex started to wet out and then sledded back down into -10 temps and heavy snow in the valley!
