The dominating weather feature today is an upper low centre offshore. This low centre slowly approaches the BC coast and spreads moisture across the south coast and southern half of the province. On Thursday, the low offshore joins forces with the upper trough extending from northern Alberta, and this results in an unstable airmass over southern half of BC. A general clearing trend is expected on Friday and into the long weekend as an upper ridge builds over northern BC.
