Description: One man has died as a result of an avalanche accident that occurred at approximately 3:30 PM on Saturday, February 15, 2014 near Rowe Peak in Waterton Lakes National Park. The other member of this backcountry party was not buried by the avalanche, and was able to locate and partially extricate his partner. Attempts at resuscitation were unsuccessful.
