An low pressure remains anchored over central Alaska. A series of weather systems embedded with the low will track towards the BC north coast. The first system will slide southwards bringing showers throughout the province on Monday. Another system slated to arrive on Tuesday will bring periods of rain to the north coast and inland through the BC northern and central interior. A ridge of high pressure builds over the Pacific Ocean will build towards the BC south coast on Tuesday bringing dry conditions and mostly sunny skies.

An upper low will remain anchored over central Alaska. A strong westerly jet develops over the Alaskan Panhandle bringing blustery conditions aloft northwest BC/southwest Yukon. The low will gradually weaken on Tuesday along with the jet. As the low weakens a ridge of high pressure builds from the south with a northwesterly flow developing over BC. An upper high remains generally over the US west coast maintaining a west/northwest flow for BC for the latter part of next week keeping dry conditions over southern sections of BC. The south will see a gradual warming trend this week with the warm air from the ridge flowing from the south. Northern sections will continue to be rainy with a cooler and unstable westerly onshore flow.
