Skied early morning between first pump and Tim Jones peak and noticed that a natural avalanche cycle happened overnight in steep (+45 degrees) slopes. However, it appeared that the new snow was bonding well to the crust in slopes under 35 degrees. Ski cuts only released small slabs on steep (+45 degrees), unsupported slopes (picture). Snow depth was variable and wind affected in southern aspects. The biggest hazard that we encountered was the poor visibility and snow pits that were not filled in. 😉
