Sun, clouds, snow, crusts etc.

Variable on so many ways today. Snowing...then sun...then cloudy etc. Light wind with temps starting below zero to pretty warm by late afternoon if in the sun. 30 ish cm's of soft snow hid by up to 10cm breakable sun crust 😒 but thinning with elevation and less of an issue on N facing slopes. Party stopped at 3rd knoll so crust never truly disappeared but softened...then returned and thickened on descent. Numerous slab and point release avis seen on various slopes. Thin slabs in N bowl and N bowl trees and multiple sun activated wet looking sluffs in steep S facing slopes. Generous pile accumulated at bottom end of cold sweat through to Geronimo. Survival skiing at times but fun stuff in the sun. Thankful for cat track chopped softness on Sternwheeler for the way home!
