Commentaires
Still cold outside and still great snow to be found. We ventured out to Mt Becher today. It was surprisingly busy, with a mix of ski tourers and snowshoers.
Overall, ski quality was great, with about 15 cm ski penetration and 125-150cm+ base each time we checked.
Signs of slight wind slab development at treeline/near the summit, but limited to ridge crest where you would expect to find it. Below Ridgeline, we never felt it.
There is a healthy layer of surface hoar forming, but it is still on the surface. Easily 4-5mm and widespread to treeline/summit of Becher. Will be something to keep an eye on once it gets buried.
We skied several convex rolls and, aside from minor surface sloughing, there was no reaction through the snowpack.
