Troughs, Troughs, Troughs
A frontal system will push southeastward across BC today and Friday. A series of weak upper troughs will bring a generally unsettled pattern to BC for Friday night into Saturday - light to moderate showers are forecast over most regions with the potential for non-severe thunderstorms over the eastern regions. Sunday shows a general clearing trend for the western part of the province.
The 500 mb loop shows an upper trough sweeping across BC from the northwest to the southeast throughout the day today. On Friday a weak upper trough will clear out the South Coast briefly, before another upper trough brings another round of convective showers to most of the province on Friday night and Saturday. A large ridge approaches from the west on Sunday.
