Steve, Went for a short tour this morning (4.13.12) up to tree-line. Wet! Wet! Wet! We got to the last turn in the road below the Winter-time parking lot in a 2WD (add 5 minutes). A 4x4 would have no problem. Skiing was "instructional," very grabby. We did not venture into the alpine because of the high temps and signs of trouble (wet avalanches
